Maya, the Intentful Chef
I see life through food.
Just like a photographer sees life through her camera, a doctor through his patients, and a mother through her children…
I say The Intentful Chef is ‘where food meets spirituality’ but you have to understand that my spirituality is my life. What I do is share food as an experience of a whole. Fourth of July picnics are all about food. Thanksgiving and Christmas are centered around food. People gather for the experience, and food is simply a part of that. In that way, the stress comes off the food and you can focus on making the experience as positive as you’d like it to be… and the cool part is… the food will follow suit!
So, stop saying eating that piece of chocolate or piece of pizza is going to make you fat… because it will. Instead, know that it is probably the most wholesome, most nourishing food you can be supplying to your body at that point in time, in that experience… and I guarantee you, your hips are that LAST place that food will land.
