The name Arizona lacks a letter t. But the state of Arizona is gifted with a resource regarding another kind of “t.” MeetCotswold village of Broadway in snow, Worcestershire, England Brenda Williams, a native of Warwickshire, England who moved to the U.S. in 1980 and brought with her a love of all things “tea.”

For the past 10 years, she’s owned and operated Brenda’s Gift Baskets in Sun City West where offers the finest teas, pastries, preserves, gourmet chocolates and gifts—all neatly packaged or ‘basketed’ at an affordable price.

What brought Williams and her extensive knowledge of the act and art of taking tea to Arizona? “It was the idea of retirement,” she says, “but I didn’t like retirement so I offered to prepare tea parties in people’s homes.” That business enjoyed success, but when it ended, clients asked her to please provide baskets specific to tea parties. “I expanded from there, and now I create gift baskets that are unique—they’re all a little different and very personalized for the client.”
Williams is a member of Local First Arizona and says, “I joined in order to support other entrepreneurs in Arizona—so they could also support my business. My prices are competitive and my products provide much satisfaction.”

Corporate gift giving is a specialty of Brenda’s Gift Baskets and examples can be seen on the online-only store. Choose to include snacks, teas or coffee gift cards and mugs, a cheese and cracker sampler, a basket meant for someone who loves to bake, or a housewarming gift basket. Gift items to choose from on the company’s website include Earth & Vine, Ashby Teas, Brenda’s Scone Mix, Kelsey D’s just to name a few.

tnl-teagirlfriendsBrenda’s Gift Baskets carries only gourmet types of sauces, jams, chutneys and other products. All are certified organic. And, in order to keep true to love of British tea tradition, she offers real Devonshire cream, imported from Great Britain.

In addition to tea and gourmet baskets, other popular gift baskets include ones for realtors, authors, bakers and ones for owners of pets (dogs and cats)—with gifts for their pets. The pet owner baskets are very popular, Williams says, and each one includes a kind of food from Norway that is made with all natural ingredients.

Gifts, and assistance with giving them is something Brenda loves to do…but it is tea that suits her to a “t.” She’s written two “tea” themed books. Her first one is titled A Spot of Tea. One of her “tea” gift sets includes her book Tea & Girl Friends—and it is paired with a teacup and tea bags.

As fun as they are to put together, Brenda’s gift baskets are lovely to receive too. Customizing a gift package is possible, and of course, Brenda ships worldwide.
